Volunteer Expo 2010!
  Back To Main

Thank you Expo Sponsors!

The 5th Annual Volunteer Expo was a tremendous success this year due in great part to the sponsors that made the event possible.  Thank you to our presenting sponsors Best Buy @ 15 for sponsoring the youth and education portion of the event; to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for sponsoring the economy/basic needs portion of the event; and to UnitedHealth Group for sponsoring the health portion of the event.

Additional sponsors who partnered with HandsOn Twin Cities assisted in a variety of ways from the Mall of America giving us a great location to hold the event, to a tremendous amount of in-kind support from ejdesign Firm for designing our materials, Thomson Reuters for printing our materials, media support from our media sponsors:  KARE 11; Minnesota Monthly; Star Tribune; and Minnesota Public Radio.  The Corporate Volunteerism Council, the Greater Twin Cities United Way Caring Connection, REM and Land O’Lakes all contributed in multiple ways in making this event successful.

Thank you to our affiliate nonprofit organizations!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our affiliate nonprofit organizations who participated in our fifth annual HandsOn Twin Cities Volunteer Expo at Mall of America on Saturday! It was a huge success because of the 130 organizations highlighting their programs and volunteer opportunities.  Visitors were able to learn about a variety of volunteer needs in focus areas like health, economy/basic needs, youth & education and environment. Special thanks to those affiliates who provided entertainment on the main stage and to Memorial Blood Centers and RESOURCE for providing interactive "speed" volunteer activities at the event.

Thank you to all our volunteers!

Thank you one and all for helping us put on a great event. Your volunteerism on Saturday helped connect hundreds and maybe thousands of people to volunteer activities. No matter what your role was, the event was a great success and we could not have done this without you!
